Fortune favours the Bold
Whee, today was great. Didn't do case study, didn't do math hmw and didn't get gg-xx.
Waha, i love pe lessons. Ever notice why i never pon on fridays even though its the longest day in the whole week. Well, we should haf pe lessons everyday then there won't be any ponning ever ever again. ha!
Met up with van and lin to study and dinner. Woots! lin told me i looked slimmer. Ha, probably i've gone back to running this week. Whee, motivation. I shall try to clock 16km this week and the same for the next.
But that's not the point, guess what did i see when i was on my way home? A getai, man. Wow! A REAL LIVE GETAI! Just how cool is that! Wow, i made a huge detour and walked to the field where the getai was staged. I stood there absolutely transfixed at the stage. It was fascinating, i tell you. The loud music, the crowds. It was the second time in my entire life i saw a getai and the first time was like 5 mins?
The getai was really amusing. i stood there laughing to myself. Ahahha! This performer is like in his 50s, balding and dressed like hugo-ago-ago from the show chicken rice war, with frilly cuffs and open chested shirt. And there he was shaking his bon bon to the awful cheena music. The there were two women in bright sequin-ed blouses shaking beside him. Like OMG! I was laughing to myself. And the auntie selling mua-chee kept staring at me. Ahahha. I must haf looked weird though. With my schoolbag, and file, in aj uniform at 10pm watching a getai with mouth agape. Wth! What a night! wow!
It was weird though. Nobody clapped after the performance. I thought it was basic courtesy to clap to show some appreciation after a performance so i clapped but the people there acted as though nothing happened. Pity the performers. Imagine performing to a silent crowd. Ouch!
Wheee, Alexander is now showing on starmovies. I shall watch it again. The movie's not as good as the book though. Books, i mean. It was a trilogy by some italian writer. I miss reading a good book. Well, anyway, Alexander is one of my heroes. He's a fantastic guy.
