I think our group was fine though i thought i was rather NAQ.
Haha, nvm, its over. Well, went out with yi hsuan, pearlyn, cia ai and xavier to watch 'The exorcism of Emily Rose'. What a freaking scary show. I was hiding behind my bag and covering my face half the time. Haha, yi hsuan also. I was also shivering, but ha, that was mainly due to the cold.
The show was about the trial of a priest after a failed exorcism. Wow, Lawyers are so cool and their jobs are so challenging. You got to think on your feet and attack and defend at the same time with just your wits and tongue. Its just like playing a netball game except that its one on one and your evidence and stuff is your ball. Wow, that is so totally cool. Haha, anyway, back on track, emily was possesed and the kind old priest tried to exorcise the demons in her by saying prayers and sort. Well, something in that sow struck me.. They all seem to have some sort of faith well, maybe except that lawyer, wat's her name, erin i think. But she believed in the existence of God in the end.
I have no religion. I'm an atheist. But i'm afraid i will have no idols of worship to pray to, no priests or monks to turn to when someone around me or even myself is possessed one day. *touch wood
Do i need a religion in order to have faith? I have been to church, i went for sunday school, i used to pray and i still do sometimes now, when the going gets tough, i've read the bible, but that was until i was 10 or 11. Then i stopped visiting the church. That's because mommy and daddy were not believers in the first place. It was Aunt Jo, my favourite and most beloved aunt who influenced me and xinyi, who make us embrace that faith. I know xinyi prays too, sometimes, quitely.
Arrrgghh, this is so fustrating, when you have no identity, when the idols your parents worshipped are idols of fortune, fame and success.
Anyway, let me remain just who i am now, an atheist. But as someone who believes in hard work and love and yeah, confucian values as well.
Yeah, that's about all for today and if i ever happen to meet any demons, i will be my own God.
