It was dark. The only light that filtered through the dense foilage came from the streetlamp outside. It bathed the balcony in a strangely eerie glow. All was quiet except for the incessant chattering of hers. She stood at the balcony, chatting animatedly on the phone to a friend, visibly excited. She was eagerly sharing details of a Japanese horror movie she had watched earlier.
In the distant, the soft calls of the cuckoo clock could be heard. The cuckoo called out twelve times, signalling the approach of the unholy hour.
A shadow lurked behind her. It moved swiftly and silently. Until it was a hair's breadth away. She was too engrossed to be aware of that shadow, ignorant of the danger it possessed.
She did not react even as seconds ticked by. The shadow was getting impatient cos' it has been studying econs halfway and she is oblivious for such a long time. It breathed down her neck.
She jumped and screamed hysterically, and in doing so, accidentally smacking the shadow in its face.
OUCH!
The poor innocent shadow was hurt.
Lol, oh man, can she scream! Never knew my younger sis has such powerful vocals. Hahaha, think i scared the wits out of her. But, lol, dunno who was more scared, the friend she was talking to or her. Haha, imagine you're chatting in an extremely relaxed mood to your friend, lying on your bed, gazing at the stars outside and fingering the telephone cord, then suddenly...
A bloodcurdling scream from the other line...
Hahahaha, oh man, this is so funny. Haha, maybe i should do this more often, though preferably without going through the ordeal of a smack on the face. Lol...
Wonder who's gonna be my next victim?
Heehee,
Chowchow is sound asleep.
Dogs don't get heart attacks, do they?
