Just came back from Thompson plaza. Am supposed to be mugging now after such unforgivable slacking, but i've got to absolutely get this down.
Gosh, guess what i saw when i walked past popular just now. I just saw the most amazing and fabulous display ever. They just make me shiver with delight and anticipation. They displayed their best-selling titles prominently and YES! the books there are unbelievably marvellous.
There's 'The Broker', ' The zahir', 'Atlantis', 'State of Fear' and many more, but there's one, the only one book which i cannot tear my eyes away from. Its 'Eldest' by Cristopher Paolini. It's the sequel to 'Eragon' and man, i've waited for this sequel for like more than a year. Eragon is sort of like Lord Of The Rings but more reader friendly and absolutely great. Tolkien is a great writer, but it took me 2 weeks to finish his LOTR series, in order to appreciate all his songs and poems and the old english. Oh my god, i can't believe it, the sequel is finally out and i'm stuck in this putrid and revolting promos.
Arrrgh!
I could only stare and finger that book longingly before being forcibly pulled away by that mugger of a sister. Even so, the loving glance never left that book. Can you imagine it, that fantastic piece of work wrapped up in thin plastic and placed beautifully on the shelf? Its simply gorgeous and just so irresistible.
There are some new titles, though most remain pretty much the same old ones on the best selling list. I swear to collect them all after promos and ha, have already obtain financial support from daddy who's always agreeable to us reading, though Xinyi rarely reads. Let me see, i've already got all of Dan brown's and Mitch Albom's, the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime, The Rule of Four from the list and yes, i want 'Eldest'. Badly. Now.
John Grisham, Michael Crichton, Pau Coelho, Dan Brown, Sidney, all of them are geniuses. Wish i could write half as well as them or have half their talent to spin webs of such intrigue and complexity.
Good God, seriously can't think properly now. Am in a befuddled and confused state of mind. There is no coherence in thought and speech. Nap needed! 1 hour shall suffice, then followed by dinner and 2 hours of mugging.
Yeah, sounds promising, but that nap will most probably end up as 400 winks instead of fourty winks.
Night people, its nap time!
